September - Women Abuse By Church Official
Sexual abuse of women by people are happens a lot but what if women are sexually abuse by pastors or bishops of church across the world. On 6th September 2021 Rachakonda (Telangana) police arrested a pastor Sadu Chinna Venkateshwarlu alias Joseph on charges of raped a 24-year-old woman in Hyderabad. | 2 | 26-09-2023 | San Antonio priest sexually assaulted older parishioner multiple time. | A Roman Catholic priest George Mbugua Ndungu was arrested on 26 September 2023 on charges of serious sexual assault. Accused Priest raped a woman in her 70s on multiple occasions. The first assault took place in November of 2022. Accused Ndungu called the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church parishioner and told her he was hungry. When she invited him over for food, the victim says Ndungu made sexual advances. The priest then pushed the woman into her bedroom, removed her clothes and raped her. Ndungu allegedly returned to the victim's home in March2022 and August 2022 to sexually assault her. |

| 3 | 14-09-2023 | Pastor Gerardo González faces charges for allegedly sexually abusing parishioners | Gerardo Paolo Gonzalez, pastor of the Despertar Ministries church, which holds religious services in a hotel room in McAllen, faces four charges of indecent assault in McAllen and two additional charges of sexual assault in Mission, US. The incident occuered when religious service was over, an individual prayer was carried out in which the victims stood behind the podium. At the time of the prayer, the victims reported that the pastor placed one hand on the shoulder or neck and with the other touched the genital area of the women. It was even reported that the pastor made the victims touch the genital area of the priest. Some of the women also stated that the man touched their breasts. One of the cases occurred at the pastor's house in Mission in 2017. The cases referred to in the accusations occurred on August 9, August 20 and April 2. All in the same year, 2023, and in very similar situations. |

| 4 | 11-09-2023 | Swakopmund pastor accused of sexual assault | A church pastor, 34-year-old, in Swakopmund Namibia is charged for indecent assault after he was accused of sexually abusing two female members of his congregation. The pastor, is alleged to have committed indecent acts with two women, aged 31 and 37, at his residence in the Mondesa residential area of Swakopmund over a period spanning from May to September 2023. The pastor instructed the two women on separate occasions to remove their clothing. He then purportedly applied what he claimed to be anointing water while inappropriately touching their private parts. It is further alleged that the pastor engaged in massaging his victims with the pretext of healing them. The incident came to light after one of the victims reported the abuse to the authorities. The police subsequently launched an investigation, leading to the arrest of the pastor. |

| 6 | 01-09-2023 | Pastor Arrested after Setting Lady on Fire During Special Prayer | Pastor Taiwo Odebiyi of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Maberu Parish, located in the Offin area of Sagamu in Ogun State, has been arrested by the police for setting 21-year-old Sukura Owodunni on fire during a special prayer session. The incident happened on August 17, 2023, pastor asked Victim Sukura to buy Amazing Grace perfume local eggs and a candle and while praying for her, he reportedly poured perfume on her body and lit the candle. The victim was gone up in flames, causing severe burns to her chest, shoulder and legs. |

A pastor is accused of sexually assaulting a special-needs woman with whom he had a close relationship. He then sexually attacked the woman twice. Pastor threatened the woman to make accusations against him if he did not allow her to have relationships with other men. |

| 9 | 10-09-2022 | Former Eagan pastor charged with criminal sexual conduct | Former Eagan pastor Bruce Douglas Konold, 61, resigned from the Eagan church in February 2022 after serving 25 years as a lead pastor and faith leadership role since 1997. Konold has been charged with felony criminal sexual conduct and harassment from involvement with two women who attended Eagan Hills Church, a complaint filed in Dakota County District Court. Konold was arrested Sept. 2 on a warrant. He made his first court appearance in Hastings and was charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct and harassment. |

The married pastor Babulal Nag of the church was arrested for continuous rape of the 35-year-old widow. Police told that about 2 years ago, the priest lured the woman into a love trap on the pretext of marriage and kept raping her on the promise of marriage. |

| 14 | 19-09-2013 | Associate Pastor Arrested For Alleged Sex Abuse Against Female Parishioners | An associate pastor at a Norwalk church Jorge Juan Castro, 53 was arrested 13 Sept. 2013 on six felony charges of rape, oral copulation and penetration by a foreign object. Pastor was being held on $2 million bail after he was arrested on sexually assaulting female parishioners, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. Castro, who works as an associate pastor and counselor at Las Buenas Nuevas Church in Norwalk, is accused of sexually assaulting more than 20 women, between the ages of 18 and 39, from Oct. 2004 to Sept. 2012. |
